Grounded in Grace...Growing to Serve

2008 marked the first 50 years of Emmanuel's strong ministry presence in Naples, Florida.  We have been grounded in God's grace since the congregation organized on March 16, 1958, and we have a wonderful story to tell.  Whereas our location on Mooring Line Drive has developed through the years, the church consists of the people and not the buildings.  Therefore our history is reflected in the lives of thousands who have been connected to the unchangeable love of Jesus Christ.  As the book of Hebrews declares...we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses.   For this most meaningful history we give thanks! 

In coming to Emmanuel Lutheran you will discover that we are growing to serve the expanding communities in Collier County.  The plans for the next decade include the development of a 20 acre second site about 24 miles northeast of our present site.  Therefore our 50 year celebration also includes looking ahead to the next 50 years! 

The members of Emmanuel, including our well-trained staff, are blessed by the unconditional love of Jesus Christ, and we are thankful for the call to serve others with this same Christ-like love.  Come and join us!

What Lutherans Believe

The Lutheran Church is one of the largest Protestant denominations in the world. We are first and foremost worshiping people, celebrating the gifts of God's grace and love that abound in our daily lives.

Lutherans put special emphasis on the Word of God, believing God has spoken in the past through the prophets and continues to speak today through the scriptures and the Living Word, Jesus Christ.

Of course, one of the "foundational planks" of the Lutheran Church is justification by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is ours through what Christ has done for us in the cross and resurrection.

Realizing and experiencing this great gift, our only response is to strive in all arenas of life to live the Christian life modeled for us by Jesus, himself. We serve God and our fellow human beings, not to earn salvation, but because we have salvation through Christ.
