Senior Pastor's Page - Pastor Steven Wigdahl

You have entered the website of a very exciting ministry, and by the time you finish looking around I hope you'll visit us at 777 Mooring Line Drive in Naples.  We'd love to welcome you into this congregation of Lutheran Christians.  Whereas we are first Christians, we are tied to a strong history stemming from the 16th century.  If you haven't read about Martin Luther and the Reformation, then I'll go so far as to recommend a good read for you.

Martin Luther: A Life, a compelling new biography of Martin Luther featuring eight pages of full-color images from the motion picture first released in 2003.  Written by nationally recognized Luther scholar James A. Nestingen, professor of Church History at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, Martin Luther: A Life, is an engaging, accessible account of the turbulent life of the world's most famous and noted religious leader.

You can find this book at www.augsburgfortress.org.

From this story you'll discover the immeasurable grace of God, the free gift of God's love to all people through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  And because the gift is for you, you can't be denied the gift itself.  Emmanuel Lutheran Church is rooted in the proclamation of this good news! We are at an exciting point in our history, celebrating 50 years in the Naples area.  Our location is right in the heart of town and we have people from all parts of the country ready to welcome you.  Furthermore, we are preparing to expand outreach into a second site about 25 miles to the northeast where we've procured over 20 acres of land for a future mission center.   I'm pleased you've found this website, and we'll be looking forward to seeing you this Sunday at Emmanuel Lutheran!
